<WFUD_Request>I hope that me writing this message finds some one with authority so that it won't be in vein.

I went to the dmv today along side many other patrons a 0830 the standard open time for the lexington County DMV on Park rd. When I got there I quickly found out that for an unknown reason the DMV'S within 50 mile radius are all closed to some new open 2 times a month on Saturday rules. 

This is a very frustrating function as the purpose to have the dmv on the weekends are to support those whom have jobs that don't authorize for time off when convenient to the schedules of the government. I have recently taken the honor to change my last name to my stepfather's as he could not have kids. I've followed all the laws and I have a need to update my information so that I can move forward with legal documents like getting my CWP registered in my name or better yet update the SC archive with my last name so that I may retrieve a new copy of my DD214 so that I may receive veterans assistance items which may be conflicted with the name change. 

What I am asking is that someone have a heart and look into these matters request extended hours or more frequent weekends. This is what I fought for and this is what my taxes pay toward. I mean certainly by know the dmv is a bank of its own can it not afford a couple extra hours of service. 90% of the phone lines don't work properly when you call the numbers all the voice-mail that you do receive are normally full and the wait times are ridiculous. 

Also, to add no one of the numbers that I called and actually worked could answer a simple question of how to I go about registering a UTV(utility vehicle) as an on road vehicle. The vehicle goes well over 70 mph looks like a golf cart and has lights and horn like a car does there is currently no law ruling this but surely if I drive it on the road a police officer will pull me over and take the 15,000 dollar item from me and fine me.
