Governor Haley, 
We are a family that has successfully adopted 2 older teenagers from DSS just 15 months ago.  DSS has extensive information on us.  We know this child and she knows us. This child has very special needs and circumstances.  It seems there has to be something within your state policy that would allow you and us to truly be this child's Champion.  When no one actually puts forth effort to think outside the scope of their everyday job duties, Champions for Children simply become meaningless words. 
We understand that Briana is in the state's custody and this state is responsible for her well-being. We know this state doesn't take this responsibility lightly. And neither do we! Doyle and I make this promise to you and the entire state of South Carolina that we will take care of Briana to the best of our ability just as you would your own child. 
You have the capabilities of checking us out completely. We ask that you do so. We have no ulterior motive, only Briana's well-being.
