The constitution allows us the right to bear arms. 2nd, Our WONDERFUL president has suggested that the media put together a list of shootings that have taken lives throughout this year. This is not a bad idea, HOWEVER, IF mainstream media is going to produce a list of crimes perpetrated by any individual (with guns) they NEED to also produce a list of the sentences laid out by the courts. If the courts were to set a sentence equal to the crime we would not see such disregard/disrespect to law enforcement. These people feel that they don't have to be subject to law enforcement. I find this a complete affront to all i have been to raised to believe. "I am a convicted felon" and have been living that nightmare for over 30 years as a tax paying red blooded American with all of the rights to pay taxes without all of the benefits that go along with that. If an individual commits a crime where another person loses their life, the perpetrator should get the "DEATH PENALTY" no questions asked, However our legal system kowtows to the the loud minority saying that the death penalty is cruel and inhuman punishment. Our system of government will NEVER succeed if the minority gets the loudest voice. You as our representative have an obligation to represent the majority, and any deviation in that path can be considered a failure in leadership and with that in mind you will be voted out as an incompetent leader thus ending your role in government. I do like what you have done for SC, However like most politicians i think you have lost an ear for the common man and are more interested in the special interest groups that fund your career as a politician. All i can say at this time ALL politicians need to START to listen to the majority of their constituents not the minority that screams inequality and racism. Sincerely Marvin D.
