Haley: I was pleased to read that a proposal to add a Confederate flag to the Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum in South Carolina has received initial approval. I sincerely hope your state legislature approves the initiative. I think it is appalling that a minority of Americans is able to intimidate elected officials (not just in South Carolina) into removing the Confederate flag from display in the United States of America. As you well know, the Confederate flag has been a part of this country's history for over 150 years. Those people who support removing the flag are denying history.
