ST. PATRICK’S ONTROVERSY
The St. Patrick's Day festival will continue. Thursday, night the Savannah Waterfront Festival decided to cancel the festival along with gating on River Street after battles over money with the city. But at an emergency meeting Friday afternoon with Savannah City Council, the festival was revived. The Waterfront Association is now working to re-book some acts they cancelled, however they say they may try to save money by providing more disc jockeys at the festival and less live entertainment. The festival will happen on March 16th and 17th. Gates will be up, if you want to drink on River Street you'll have to buy a $5 wristband at the gate.
