Governor Haley, we heard your Tweet that you were embarrassed for South Carolina because Trump won the Republican primary.  We are embarrassed that you endorsed Marco Rubio for the Republican presidential candidacy while the people of South Carolina obviously disagree with you and gave Trump the Republican primary victory for our state!  We were also embarrassed and disappointed when you initiated and directed the removal of our historic symbol, the Confederate flag, from the SC State House, and you should be ashamed for serving as an elected official who obviously does not understand the depth and true meaning of the symbolism for the people that elected you.  Neither you nor anyone this side of the pearly gates can erase history, and that is what the flag represents.  It commemorates those who died on both sides of an issue for which they strongly believed, regardless of which side they supported.  We continue to support and honor those and their sacrifices by flying the flag ourselves.
