“I don’t want to play softball



“I don’t want to play softball. There’s hardball being played over here.”

— State Sen. Bill Branton, R-Dorchester, on a suggestion the Senate Finance Committee break early Tuesday so senators could go to a softball game involving legislators. Branton wanted the committee to stay and debate $341 million in lottery spending.
