Frankly, this law is ridiculous for any state that prides itself on limited government and free markets. The law was clearly written by the dealership lobby. The law needs to be rewritten to remove limits on ownership and competition. This would allow startups such as Tesla to operate in South Carolina, and provide more competition and choice for South Carolinians.
