Subject: Vietnam Veterans Day
Good afternoon, Ms. Stewart.
I am in receipt of your e-mail to Caroline Hulett regarding a proclamation for Vietnam Veterans on March 29. In 2006, the South Carolina Legislature passed a bill (H.4313, R.288, A.268) naming the first Friday in May, “Vietnam Veterans
Survivors’ and Remembrance Day.” It was signed into law by Governor Mark Sanford and became effective on May 2, 2006. When the proclamation is issued this year, I will be happy to send you a copy. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks.
