It was from the Department of Revenue for Williamsburg Regional Hospital. I immediately called the Dept. of Revenue and was told the reason I had not received notification of this previously was because they did not have my current address but that I could not make a payment arrangement because I did not answer the original letter. Of course I did not answer the original letter, I did not receive the original letter because they had the wrong address. I then called Williamsburg Hospital to see if there was something they could do. I explained to them I did not receive correspondence about the bills and was told that even though they have the correct address, which they did not give to the Department of Revenue, they did not send me the info because my insurance company paid some of the bill and sent me info about the rest. This is the same insurance that did not pay for my medication (Insulin, Lyrica). And the same insurance that was denied by the hospital. Yes this hospital has denied me services twice. Once for a colonoscopy that was medically necessary (my father had colon cancer and my paternal Aunt and Uncle both had polyps) and I was denied foot surgery for a cyst on the bottom of my foot. (I am diabetic) This garnishment is to take place on my check for June 17. I work about 25 hours a week due to my illnesses. I am a single mother and have to pay $550.00 a month in just rent. I use one check for rent and the other for utilities and groceries. With a 16 year old son that does not leave ANYTHING for a garnishment especially not 25% of my earnings. It is imperative that someone look at this situation and allow me to make a payment arrangement for what is owed as this garnishment could be the cause of my family's homelessness. I cannot afford to have my check shortened in any way Also someone needs to look into the fact that Williamsburg Regional Hospital has refused me medically necessary services on at least 2 occasions. I did speak with hospital staff about the foot surgery incident. NOTHING was done. The surgery was scheduled. I had given them the insurance information previously I then took an unpaid day off work and they cancelled the procedure the day of the surgery. If I went to the emergency it was an EMERGENCY. But I will never make that mistake again. Please contact me about what I can do about this garnishment. It is imperative that someone assist me with making an affordable arrangement. Thank You.
