I have a 16 year old son who decided he would like to try living with his dad 3 years ago. I had original cuatody. He tried coming back home this past July. The honorable Judge Wayne Creech of Berkeley County switched custody to his father. My son refused to go back. I was found in contempt yesterday since my son never went back to his dad's even though I made him available. The GAL told my son the only way his mother could get out of jail would be to go with his father. My son cried and got in the car with his dad. There is documented abuse, physically and mentally and emotionally, but the GAL is not bringing it to the judges attention.  I don't know where else to turn to. Do you have any advice on who I can go to when your child is being harmed but nobody is looking out for him? Every day he spends with his abusive father is a chance that something horrible may happen to my son. Who can I go to about a guardian that lies, is a bully and does not look out for the child's best interest?  Thank you for any advice you can give to help me help my son.
