People only have a couple of weeks left to
visit 29 South Carolina state parks for free
The Parks,
Recreation and Tourism Department says it will charge
admission of two dollars a person at 29 noncoastal parks
beginning September Second
The fee is expected to
generate about a million dollars for the agency
The
decision to raise fees come from a study of park operations
legislators ordered
Agency director Chad Prosser says
the fees are a small investment made by our visitors and a
critical part of the funding used to maintain and enhance the
state park
system
