Columbia, S. C. - Governor Jim Hodges and General Steve Siegfried on Friday launched a web site to provide factual information about anthrax and anthrax prevention. South Carolinians can access the site at
http://www.teamxtend.com/anthraxprevention. The site is also accessible from
www.myscgov.com and
www.state.sc.us/governor.
"This site gives all South Carolinians equal access at any time to important and factual information about anthrax," Hodges said. "Our goal is to replace fear with knowledge."
"The site will serve as another way to educate South Carolinians about bioterrorism," Siegfried said.
The Web site features a tutorial, a glossary of related terms and a test on preventing the spread of anthrax.
