Governor, you know that flag has never done any harm to one soul. This is an over reaction to the awful thing that happened in your state. We all have emotions, thoughts and want to find a fix for what has happened. I am from Virginia and my people fought on both sides of the war. Some family died and was not even brought home for burial. It divided our family both then and now, so much so, a book was written that validates the divide. "Between Two Brothers". To me, that flag means my southern heritage only. I respect you and I believe you think it is going to make a difference to some people. But in reality, we need to stop talking race in this country. First, we all are God's children. We need to address right and wrong leave color out of it. By the way, I am white as paste and my DNA shows I have black blood. Most people don't know their race to begin with. We have a lot of thin skinned people in our country that look for any reason to whine about anything wanting to be "special" when we are all special. Now you pray about this before you fight so hard. to remove a piece of material. If removing that flag would help our people move forward, I would climb every pole myself and take them down one by one. That is just not a fix. I say if we all do more of what the church folks did in Charleston and get on our knees and ask for the help we need. It is a us and them country. Why? You know we have people in power that take advantage and keep this ugly mess going for their own benefit. WE need powerful people that don't work to divide us and you are one of those that can through the Spirit of the Lord can give these people an education on that flag as well as doing what is right. Most people I know don't even know the history of that flag to start with. I wish you would send out people to ask random people what it means, I doubt most would know or care. God bless you and you need to fight for some things but not so much this flag. Thank you
