Due to the nature and poor wording from the Youngblood ruling, DSS and the courts are stripping rights from foster parents across the state. I have previously adopted and am currently in a heated court battle with DSS. The Youngblood case was judged against former foster parents and is being used to crush families across the state. DSS is jumping on the opportunity to change current policies to match the stature of the Youngblood case. I have reached out to your office before and was told by Brad Lake that DSS had briefed your office and we were in the wrong and you would not work or meet with us. I am asking for a meeting with you as a parent to children whose lives have been ad are being damage by DSS. DSS in South Carolina is out of control and is the cause of several high profile adoption cases as well as several lawsuits. DSS is an agency under your control and they are wrecking children and families. Please contact us to hear our side.
