While I understand that my idea would be a major change to the current system and I do not have all of the information needed for a decision, but I would like to know if there is any appetite to make changes to the SNAP program. My idea would be to use a service like Hello Fresh, Blue Apron etc. to replace the EBT cards. The thought behind replacing EBT cards or cutting down the amount provided on the the EBT cards with a food delivery service is that the persons on the SNAP program would receive nutritional foods with instructions on how to prepare the foods provided to them. I believe this would help the persons on the SNAP program learn that it is easy to prepare nutritional foods and not rely on junk and fast foods. I also believe that this process would reduce the amount of fraud that is currently going on with the SNAP program as the persons receiving the benefits would either only be receiving food packages or a very minimal amount of money on the EBT cards. I also think this would help motivate persons on the SNAP program who are able bodied to go out and find employment so they have the means to purchase the goods that they would be unable to purchase under this kind of structure, reducing the amount of persons on the SNAP program all together. Please let me know if you think something of this magnitude could has the support of our government and if you would like to have a further discussion. Thank you, Tim Waskavitz
