Railroad Ave. 207 Bartlett IL 60103 alangale08@gmail.com (630)823-7048 TAX Why Auto/Personal Property Taxes? My wife and I are retired and thinking about moving south and buying a house/condo. We just visited Columbia and Greenville and like the areas. Your auto/personal property tax based on the value of vehicles bothers me. I like cars and have an expensive Mercedes, but don't want to pay a ridiculous tax on it every year. I don't drive that much anymore. Other states have done away with this unpopular kind of tax. I wish S.C. would. Your new car dealers must hate it. I may have to move to Florida, my second choice. Alan D.
