There is something that needs to brought to the attention of the citizens of South Carolina. We have police officers in our state that are stealing peoples credit cards (currently under sled investigation). If you ever been arrested by the Highway Patrol or the Richland County Sheriffs department, check your credit card and debit card statements very carefully. My wife was arrested for a DUI on Interstate 77 back in July 2015. Within a week of the arrest, our credit card company called to verify some charges which we didn't do. One charge occured the same day of the arrest on Bluff Road where she was incarcerated. When we picked up the car at the impound yard the cards in question were just laying on the floor of the car like someone had just thrown them in the car. The owner of the impound yard told us that the Highway Patrolman in question came to the impound yard and asked for the keys and went to the car. This was when he we believe he threw the cards into the car. Sled has been investigating, but I feel the need to point out that the investigating officer is either inept or just not trying. The video evidence is now gone and as time goes on it gets harder to find the proof. We've even had someone call our home impersonating the Sled Officer in a lame attempt to stop the investigation. It is so obvious to us that the Police themselves used the credit cards. Not only should the Highway Patrol & Richland County Sheriffs office be investigated, but also SLED should be investigated by the FBI. They are doing nothing, except trying to cover it up. So...if you are a victim of this, please come forward and let SLED know that this has happened to you. 184.20.39.92
