My daughter is 23 and was injured in a car accident.  She has no health insurance and broke both legs so she will be out of work for several months.  She has worked since she was 15 as a hostess then waitress  so she has no insurance or short term disability.  We have been to DSS to discuss her options and can not find any.  Can you point me in the right direction to get her some type of help?  She has lived on her own for several years and as most young waitresses lived paycheck to paycheck. There has to be something available for a single person with no children who worked steady that long.  Any advise or assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Her dad and I don't know where to turn.
