As a retired military officer and SC citizen, I wish to voice my extreme disagreement with your intent to absorb refugees in SC. 

Given the events in Paris, France yesterday, it should be even more obvious that allowing refugees into SC from the middle east countries is foolhardy at best, and extremely dangerous at least. Why are no Arab Gulf states accepting these people?; How are South Carolinians going to pay for them? MY tax dollars for their Social Security benefits, Medicaid, education, etc?; The head of the FBI has publicly stated that the FBI is unable to vet these refugees. How many ISIS "plants" will be among these refugees?

Governor Haley, it is long past time to prioritize whose safety and well being comes first? American and South Carolinians or unknown persons from a culture that wants to destroy our way of life and kill us?
