We are, however, at a crossroads as my 14 year old is looking to his high school education and is interested in attending a new, Aristotelian/Thomistic Classical Private school that has only eight students at present. The obstacle for him attending this very noteworthy and formative school is that he would not be able to play football according to the terms of the current law, yet the school is very similar to a charter or governor's school in that it offers something unique that is well suited to the formation of his character and ability to think and to learn. Football is his passion and while I would not like this to be such a determining factor, it is the present obstacle that we, as parents looking to the overall well being of our son, are facing. Please consider adding an amendment to the current law allowing students who attend small privately run schools to participate in public school sports.
