Senate confirms two Sanford cabinet appointees (Published April 2‚ 2003) COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The Senate confirmed Gov. Mark Sanford's appointees for the state Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism and the Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services on Wednesday. Chad Prosser was approved on a voice vote to lead PRT. Lee Catoe also was confirmed on a voice vote. Prosser, Horry County Council's chairman, had been waiting for his confirmation to resign that post. He is a managing partner of Wachesaw East Golf Club and a director of SunBancshares Inc. Catoe was the state Workers' Compensation Commission chairman from 1994 to 1999. He worked from 1987 to 1994 as an executive assistant to former Gov. Carroll Campbell.
