<WFUD_Request>well, Governor Haley. I don't know what to say in this situation. I do appreciate your getting someone to contact me about my DSS situation. Were they helpful--HECK NO ! I was met with attitude, condescending and smart aleck answers. No help at all. The 1st person that called sounded like a young man with way too much attitude. He was unprofessional. When he introduced himself he stated his name and that he was from the State of South Carolina. What does that mean? I had to ask him 2 more times where he was from and he gave me the same answer. REALLY ! you can't just say---I am a representative of Governor Nikki Haley's office calling about the email you sent to her. That is all it would have taken. Finally it ended up that I told him he could drop the attitude. He smugly says--I am sure I do not know what you are talking about. I told him---Truly you do.
THEN, after that call there was a lady from DSS that called about 4 days later and she was just as bad. When I told her about our DSS situation--she was of no help. When I told her that I thought it was inappropriate and against the law to take a 8 year old boy in his room, shut the door, ask him to take off his shirt and then take photos of him without one of his parents in the room--she scoffed. I told her I was serious. She then said, well, the DSS worker was over the age of 18--correct? I said yes. She said--OK then. Like that makes it alright. It does not. This is the way the whole-short conversation went. Until I finally told her that I saw that she was going to be of absolutely no help. She wanted all our names---yeah right. I told her we had been threatened so many times by DSS that I did not feel comfortable giving names. That I just wanted to speak in generalization questions. Of course, she did not want to do that. THEN--she even said when I sent my email that she didn't understand why I even put in the email that all my sons were Eagle Scouts. she was very smug about that. I told her to attest to all of my sons characters and that this would never happen in our family and that someone had made a mistake. She was smug and so I ended the conversation. Her phone number is 1-803-898-7616. Your DSS has a God mentality that they are above the law and reproach. They are NOT trying to preserve the family unit. They have never once given my son and his wife the benefit of a doubt. To them they are guilty--period. So, now we have to go through appeal. The family is still not back together.
