It is against federal law (IRS) that a nonprofit can support / involve itself in a political campaign. However, that's exactly what the Humane Society of the US is doing via email. Here is the link attached to the email that I received yesterday, https://secure.humanesociety.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&amppage=UserAction&ampid=7260, and my follow-up response to the Sender was:

"I have ALWAYS backed your efforts and participated in SC. You have now crossed the line!!!!!!!!!! One, I started and ran a 501(c)3 for years and I KNOW that you cannot delve into politics, nor lend / deny your support for one Candidate over another. I WILL be turning this over to the SC Secretary of State's office and the SC Attorney General's office for them to deal with this issue!

Know also that I am not only a HUGE Animal Advocate, but a Trump Supporter. I have already addressed my concern and wishes for Animal Welfare with his Team. That is exactly what you should have done also rather than trying to sway an election. Shame Shame Shame on You!"
