I am concerned about the State Recognition of a Group Piedmont American Indian Association. They have stated their Matriarch on their Petition for State Recognition as Being Cherokee Indian. They Are bogus and they have fraudulently lied about Lillian Bryant, Claiming she is a full Blood from Oklahoma. They have stated this on their website and in their newsletter and in the State newspaper.  Also they Claim Missouri Harris as a grandmother from Cherokee as a full Blood living in NC . Also this person is listed as white all ancestors after as white , and have no connection to any Native Ancestry.  After contacting a Cherokee Genealogist, The information provided by them that Lillian Bryant listed is white , never lived in Oklahoma , and has no connection to any Cherokee or Native American. They have documents to prove that this Indian group are frauds. They would gladly turn over this information asap. There is a concurrent resolution up for the senate for this group to be recognized as a legitimate tribe, They are not. nor are they related to any Cherokee.
