I am Teowonna Clifton, a freelance writer for Palmetto Parent magazine. For the March issue, I'd like to feature Gov. Haley as a tribute to Women's History Month. The subject matter would be nonpolitical, as I'd like to focus on the governor as an example of a modern-day working mother who is serving in a history-making position in South Carolina. 

If I am granted the interview, it would take 20 to 40 minutes to complete. It can be conducted by telephone to accommodate the governor's busy schedule. I apologize for the brief notice, but it would be great if the interview could take place within the next seven to 10 days. I will make myself available at whatever time suits Governor Haley. Our photographer would later schedule a photo shoot at a convenient time and place.
