The battle is also heating up in the Low Country. The
candidates are on the road, trying to get out the vote.
Republican senate candidate Jim DeMint made a
last-minute stop on Hilton Head Island this afternoon.
Sen. Lindsay Graham and Gov. Mark Sanford rallied
support for DeMint at the Hilton Head Airport.
The three are traveling around the state today,
trying to influence voters before tomorrow's election.
"We're part of a great team with President Bush and
we're just reminding voters that two votes in the senate
that work together are a lot better than two votes that
cancel each other out," DeMint said.
DeMint is opposing Democratic candidate Inez
Tenenbaum, who is the former superintendent of South
Carolina schools.
