Good afternoon sir/madam. I am contacting you in regards to assistance with food destroyed from Hurricane Matthew. It's heartbreaking and sad, that assistance is only being rendered to those who currently receive assistance! What about the working adult, who lost 3 freezers and 1 refrigerator full of food? I went to DSS today and was told I have to apply. What good is that if I'm not going to qualify, because I go to work daily,and am a productive tax paying citizen. I struggle, I live check to check, I followed Governor Haley's order and evacuated! I had to pay for traveling expenses, and a hotel,for my mother and child. I come home to a $800 electric bill and NO FOOD! Today, DSS was giving out MRE's to ppl for replacement food? That's unacceptable. Especially when The President of the United States, also declared SC as an emergency. I am going to take this Federal and let them see how we're being treated. This is just so sad. What is my minor child supposed to eat?
