This additional income to the prison system would reduce the burden of the expense to continue to educate their current inmates and reduce the burden to the tax payers as well. I feel we are sending the wrong message to young people when they know that all they would have to do to get a free education is to commit a crime and go to prison to get their college degree on the tax payers dollars.
