dear governor I'm very troubled by the decision of a federal judge 2 strike down this great states ban on same-sex marriage when 78% of southcarolina voters have declared that it should not be allowed one man  should not have the power to overrule what the majority has voted on and decided to be correct for the people in this state last time I checked this is still a democracy and states rights is a very important issue in this day and age as it was at the time of the Civil War some one must stand up and say this is wrong what 78% of people in this great state have decided to be correct for us is not for one man to overturn or tell us here is south Carolina what we can or can not do when it is  placed on the ballot voted for and approved by the people I am just a man I have no power or position but I do now when my rights are being disregarded and our democratic way of doing things are  being pushed aside someone needs to stand up and say this is not right the voters in South Carolina have spoken with one voice on what is correct for our state and we will not comply with the wishes or demands of one man I hope that person is you I voted for you you are strong leader if anyone can I believe it's you thank you for your attention to this letter have a great day
