I was told I had 10 days to file the necessary papers with the court. I had planned to go to the court house tomorrow (10/5/16) and file the necessary papers. It seems that the government offices are closed due to Hurricane Matthew. I understand that safety is paramount, but also feel I have had 3 days taken from me/timeline. Is it possible for me to be able to go to the court house on 10/10/16, file the papers and have it still be within an allowed time frame due to the extenuating circumstances? I work in Beaufort County (yes, nearly 100 miles each way from my home) in an elementary school, so it is difficult to take a day of immediately, which is why I had planned on Wed to do it. I am only trying to do what is right and want to file the papers requested, but would like your approval on the extended deadline. Thank you for your time and information. Please feel free to call or email any questions or response. 216.186.144.242
