SLED Gets $26.3 Million Grant
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The State Law Enforcement Division has been awarded nearly $26.3 million in grants from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

U.S. Representative Henry Brown says the grants were awarded as part of the federal agency's grant program for the 2005 fiscal year.

Officials say the funds are divided among local law enforcement agencies to support the state's efforts to protect against terrorist threats.
