Ive been seeing your efforts on my local new stations here and thought your office assigned to working directly with Domestic violence would help. I spoke to Sarah Peters who forwarded me to one of your attorneys Marie. Marie told me they can only help if its in a criminal court matter. I need help with a case that started with Domestic Violence and has evolved to include allegations of Forgery and perjury and obstruction in the family court. This involves not only a civilian but your appointed court officials. Domestic Violence is far more than a criminal offense. If your offices only address the criminal aspect this will never get anywhere. There is a dire need for this presence of help in family court as well. Domestic violence affects family far more that your need to convict someone of a criminal offense. I originally contacted you all to make you aware of the trouble I am having being a survivor of domestic violence being treated as if I am a recovering addict of some sort. In South Carolina our families are far more victimized by the systems in place supposedly designed to help. What I'm dealing with was not an isolated incident and we need to address it. The issues are far too much to fit within the character limits but I would greatly appreciate it someone could contact me to, if nothing else, point me in the right direction. Thank you -Donna
