My husband and I live in the mandatory evacuation area. We left mid-morning this morning. I was impressed with all the busses that were inbound to assistant those who do not have transportation as well as the EMS teams. Having rest stops supplied with dozens of portable potties means people had really considered all kinds of needs for its citizens. I commend all the work you, your staff and the other agencies have done in storm evacuation preparation. I applaud you all and would support you in any numbers of future ventures. My husband served in the Navy's submarine force. We were stationed in Guam where in one season saw five major typhoons. The first took part of five homes on our circle with families in them. We were fortunate to have done well. Having seen those,I am well aware of what good preparation looks like! Congratulations on a job well done! ' Sincerely Karen Young 98.122.101.1
