South Carolina coast.
A tropical storm warning is still
in effect from Little River south to Georgetown, but that's
expected to be dropped.
At 2 pm, Ophelia was about 40
miles southeast of Wilmington, North Carolina.
The
storm is moving north-northeast at seven miles an
hour.
Highest winds are up to 85 miles an
hour.
The storm is expected to make landfall Thursday
near Cape Lookout, North Carolina.
A flood watch is in
effect for Horry County.
Three inches of rain has
fallen in North Myrtle Beach since midnight and an additional
two to three inches of rain are expected in Horry
county.
Winds at Myrtle Beach are about 23 miles an
hour, with gusts of up to 37 miles an
hour.
