Mullis 354 Skyview Drive Catawba SC 29704 emmons71@hotmail.com 8034484392 GOVE The flag of my ancestors Governor Haley, I am thoroughly disgusted with your actions yesterday. As a descendant of a Confederate soldier I think it is shameful that you have caved on this issue. I have lost all respect for you and you have lost my support. My 12 year old daughter once looked up to you but now, she no longer wants the campaign sign that you autographed for her. There was a time that I had hoped that you would run for a higher office but I no longer feel that way. A deal/compromise was struck in 2000 to move the battle flag to the monument from the dome and that should have been the end of it. What's next? Our monuments? How long before we're told we can't fly the Confederate Flag on our own property. The removal of the flag is a knee jerk reaction and will do nothing to help race relations. I fear that your actions will further divide the citizens of this state. Your actions yesterday started a domino effect and now, eBay, Amazon and Walmart have jumped on the bandwagon. You have insulted my ancestors and it is my sincere hope that you will rethink removing the flag. Now go and do the right thing.
