Wateree River boat landing closed due to flooding
Due to flooding, the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has closed the Wateree River public boat launch located at U.S. Highway 1 in Kershaw County.
"River flooding is currently blocking access to both the parking area and the boat ramp," according to Region II Captain William Poole with the DNR law enforcement division. "Effective immediately and until further notice, the DNR public boat landing on the Wateree River at Hwy 1 is closed." The landing is located at Latitude: 34.244, Longitude: -80.6539 in Kershaw County.
