My name is Mark Schlag, I am the Carbon Plant General Supervisor out here at Century Aluminum. Obviously, I have many concerns that I would like to share, so please bare with me. Why is it that a State Owned Agency such as Santee Cooper cannot be competitive with other power providors in the region. It is a shame that our company can go out to the open market on the outskirts of our "great" State, and find power for nearly half the price that Santee Cooper can provide. It certainly appears that there is very little official oversight of this agency, and that corruption and the "good ole boy" network has gotten out of hand.
