(Columbia) -- Incorporated Magazine has ranked the Greenville-Spartanburg area as the third-worst city in America to
do business.
The article is based on a review of job growth data supplied by the federal government.
John Moore is vice president for economic development and small business at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. He says the area
fared poorly in the review because it has suffered heavy job losses in the manufacturing industry in the past few years.
Moore says the area has lost about 1,500 manufacturing jobs in the past year.
The publication named Atlanta the top large city for entrepreneurial growth.
The magazine for businesses hits newsstands February 24th.
