They were located by Habitat for Humanity employees. The daycare facility lied to the parents about the incident and we were not notified of the true nature of the incident until we received a letter from DSS/OHAN that our child is involved in an investigation of abuse and neglect. Once we received this letter, it took over 14 days for anyone at DSS to return my calls or emails. The DSS investigator has failed to follow up with parents involved or to even interview the a parent who saw the children or the employees of Habitat for Humanity who found them and filed the initial with DSS. Our letter states that the investigation would take 45-60 days to complete. To date it has been over 77 days since the initiation of this investigation. The lack of communication and investigation into this matter deeply concern me. I am asking you to look into this. Sincerely, Jenny Powers 172.75.117.148
