I feel that this was an error on your part. I feel as though you have endorsed an "establishment" candidate who has not been able to gain any traction in the race. Your endorsement as well as Senator Scott's had no influence of the steam rolling Donald Trump. You and Senator Scott as well as Representative Gowdy should have endorsed Senator Cruz. He is the most conservative candidate who could turn the country to the direction of its original constitutional values. Also, by supporting Senator Rubio I see you in a different light. I feel as though you are out for the "party" and not the citizens of this country and the state of South Carolina. I'm not sure you plan on South Carolina Governor being your final political tile or not, but looking out for the "party" and "establishment" will not gain you a vote from me in the future. I think it would be in the best interest of the people of this country for people such as yourself to endorse the most conservative candidate in the presidential race. I fear that Donald Trump is going to get the nomination and the country may be worse off than it is under our current failure of a president. You and those that have endorsed Senator Rubio have helped Donald Trump to gain the nomination and you will also be responsible for the damage that he may do. I do not mean for this message to be disrespectful, but I am truly frightened what may happen to our country and I strongly disagree with the candidate you have chosen to support. Sincerely, Brian D. Lewis
