I spoke with a gentleman who stated you wouldn't. Last week we had a potential shooting incident at Ashley Ridge HS. I warned that man something like this could happen. The district knew Tuesday evening but did not notify the parents. The kids knew through social media. Many of us have kids that share information that scares them. These children were scared. Approx 75% of parents kept their children home. Around 8:30-9:00am a robo called was done stating extra security and the school was safe. Later principal Karen Radcliffe stated after speaking to law enforcement that this was a big joke. Parents and students didn't see it that way, and neither did the Sheriffs Department. They never said that, in fact this is an ongoing criminal investigation. As of Friday they had three in custody. Perhaps your legal staff should look at reco law. This district is in violation of that federal law and can be subject to losing federal funding. Like Senator Scott, Graham and you, we thought you were sincere in your views about the safety of our children and our schools. We no longer believe that. We feel we cannot trust what you say. Talk the talk, but wont walk the walk. The only thing we are greatfull for is you cannot run again as our governor. When parents call you office with concerns being dismissive to them isn't professional and just rude. Respectfully, Charles and Patricia Proeber
