<WFUD_Request>My sister had coverage with Nationwide...Agent Gaillard T Dotterer...#843-821-7568..Renewal was 11/1/15..she contacted Gaillard Dotterer..10/12/15..She spoke to Judy &amp Gaillard...letting them know that she was not paying the higher rate...it had been the same for 16 years.                 On October 9, 2015, 6 days after the "1000 year flood" Nationwide generated a new bill..$3593.00 old bill would be $900.00 to $1133.00 each year...I know!..dif of $2466.00...200%..Did I say 6 days after the "1000 year flood! Shows you what Nationwide is, Crooks!..They claimed that the protection class was now a 10 instead of a 4,she provided a signed letter from Colleton County Fire-Rescue Commission stating that her classification for her area is a 4, always has been! It was sent to Gaillard Agency and Nationwide #877-262-0247,still they refused.Can they get away with this? People were still out of their homes at this point, still flooded. They would not reduce coverage, told her she had no right to change coverage amount either, I do not think they can do this either! She never agreed to any of this, remember on 10/12/15, two people were told at the Gaillard Dotterer office. She let them know that if the bill was not reduced..she would not be paying. Instead, right in the middle of this, the "1000 year flood happened", Nationwide jumped at the chance to rip people off, increase the rate by 200%. So now they have reported her to the credit bureau for November and December 2015 coverage. They tripled the rate and took advantage of the "1000 year flood...please stop these people...Colleton county and the people who live there have suffered enough. Just think of all the people that lost everything, and think that they have to pay all this extra money to Nationwide, they do not. Nationwide is ripping people off, not just in Colleton County, everywhere was flooded! Nationwide is taking advantage of the "1000 year storm". Governor Haley, please stop these people,I can give you all names, dates, and back up to support everything I have listed above. Thank you</WFUD_Request>
