I have several medical issues including needing a double knee replacement at the age of 46. I have tried to apply for government asst in the form of food stamps to help buy food because my medical expenses exhaust my funds. Guess what i make to much to get anything but yet i do not make enough to cover medical and food. Sure i could apply for disability and have this paid for to fix and get food assistance but i choose to struggle every day with pain and walking and continue to work. Now what is very very wrong is : I work, have private insurance and my ortho doctor referred me to a barbaric doctor. Well i am here to tell you that my insurance does not pay for anything barbaric but, people that have medicaid and most often are better off than me will get to have this done for free. I on the other hand have to suffer everyday and can not have the surgery i need to improve my quality of life and choose not go on disability. There is something terribly wrong with this and i think it should be looked into and something done about this. Several other people that are in the same boat as me have the same problem. Sincerely, Tracy Moses
