I wanted to submit a letter to the Governor but I don't have an envelope and stamp to mail it to her, but I would really enjoy a written response to know that she really read this. I just wanted to write to you and let you know that I am finding it rather difficult with this state and financial assistance anymore. I work for about 32 hours a week, bring home about $180 a week and I can barely afford a decent bit of food, and I can't afford dental insurance with the waiting periods. Medicaid would be able to assist me with that but I am not 65 or older, I'm only 20. I'm not pregnant, I'm a man. And I don't have any kids, school is my priority. I don't make a lot from work and I have to pay rent, pay the internet bill for school, and get to and from school and work. It's not easy and I don't get to save any money to assist myself get better things or anything. I don't qualify for food stamps because I live at home and I'm not 22 so I can't file for just myself. I feel that the state doesn't even want me to get ahead because all they do is drag me back down....
