Subject: Please Comply with the Clean Power Plan

Mar 23, 2016

Governor Nikki Haley
Office of the Governor
1205 Pendleton Street
Columbia, SC 29201

Dear Governor Haley,

Please end delays on complying with the Clean Power Plan and advancing
clean energy.

Without measures like the Clean Power Plan to cut carbon pollution, the
forecast for wildlife is dire. Last year was the hottest year on
record, beating out 2014 and continuing a disturbing trend that has
wildlife feeling the heat.

In addition to wildlife, climbing temperatures can make emerging human
disease organisms, such as the Zika virus, Ebola and other diseases,
spread more easily and invade areas previously not affected. This will
affect human health and put a strain on health care infrastructure and
increase health care costs.

The Clean Power Plan is a critical step to our success in protecting
wildlife from climate change and charting the course for a clean energy
future.

Do not delay further. I urge you to please start implementing the
Clean Power Plan now.

Sincerely,

Ms. Sally Krebs
