Could you please explain why the Governor will not support a medical marijuana program in the state of SC? The benefits of medical marijuana are clear and supported by scientific facts. If we are to reduce the deaths caused by abuse or overdosing of opioids then we must be able to offer effective alternatives for treating chronic pain. We cannot expect patients to simply go cold turkey without anything to relieve their suffering. I urge the Governor to reconsider her stance.
