Dear Governor Haley, I have been watching with a great deal of interest and joy as the rest of the country has started to allow same sex marriage. Just about all of the federal Appeals Courts have ruled that same sex marriage bans are unconstitutional, and the SCOTUS refused to even hear an appeal in favor of the bans. As a heterosexual male who supports gay equality it is embarrassing to live in a state which refuses to accept the changes  But, here in South Carolina our Attorney General keeps fighting against it. It is a shame that this state I have lived in all but a little more than two of my 66 years of life refuses to move ahead and join the 21st century. It is inevitable that same sex marriage is going to happen here, yet taxpayer's money is being spent to fight a battle that WILL be LOST! It is time for the great state of South Carolina to accept the facts and go ahead and make it legal for ALL people to be allowed to marry the person they love. Please, tell the AG to stop the fight. It is a waste of time and money. Stop fighting, let it happen and this great state will be even better for it!
