Why does the state of SC not recognize emotional or psychological abuse? In the instance of obtaining a divorce or when it is done to a child. This type of abuse has lasting effects. When someone has been physically abused, those wounds will heal in time. Emotional or psychological abuse is just as damaging, if not more in some cases, than physical abuse. A explanation on this question would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
