Hello, I am writing this letter on the day of July 20, 2015 about a concern for my boyfriend safety. Unfortunately he is being held in Tyger Rivers Correctional Facility. It all started Friday night around 10:48pm when he called me to let me know he loved me very much and if something was to happen to him to continue with my life and to always know he loved me even when it didn't seem like it. I was nervous but I thought he was kidding but something about the tone of his voice told me otherwise. He continued to tell me about his feelings towards me and his family. As the operator told us we had a minute left, he told me if he didn't make it out of there just know he tried his very best to change and become a better person and that no matter what happened to him I should continue with my life and be happy. He also explained what happened and how everything got to this point but I rather speak on facts. My boyfriend, Kenneth Graham known to the state as inmate 00360893, is never scared in the last 5 years of knowing him and 3 1/2 of dating him I have never heard him this scared. That night I could not sleep at all, I called his grandmother around 11pm and she didn't answer until a few short minutes after the phone rang. I told her what he told me, her silences creped through the phone as she grasp her thoughts, she told me she would tell his parents the next morning since they were already sleep. I spent all day and night Saturday checking his SCDC inmate database information. Late Saturday evening I had a gut feeling something happened. Sunday morning when I woke up I checked again and his information for transfers read "Kirkland -- Medical" that's when I knew the threat was a promise they were to keep. The Captain, who was very kind, told me they would try to move him. So what is the point of writing this letter? -- To make sure the safety of my love one is safe. I spoke to him Sunday after church and although he may say he is ok, I know he is not. So please do anything and everything in your power to keep him safe. They have threaten to kill him if he comes back by "finishing the job" and I doubt they were bluffing since they threaten and acted on it before. I understand that saying "you get what you deserve," which he indeed is paying for. Kenneth, is trying to change and better his life, He has a passion for music and poetry. Please help him by transferring him to a different, safer yard, closer to home, if possible. I appreciate your time. Thank You.  - Jenniffer
